Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24766 p4p, 24708 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dawindi Buktot has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dawindi Buktot seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 24 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 21 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot slaps away a takedown attempt from Buut, before circling back to the center of the mat. Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick. Buktot dives in for a single leg takedown but Buut sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buut can't get the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Buktot has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Buut after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Buktot uses from the top position. Buut trying to control the position here. Buktot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Buut pulls Buktot in close to prevent any damage. Buktot scoring with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buktot won't allow Buut to sweep him here. Buktot with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Buut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buktot fails with a takedown attempt. Buktot backing away here, and Buut unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot leaves Buut with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. Buut is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buktot sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Buktot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buut as he jumps to the side. Buut replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buktot blocks it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buktot misses with a takedown attempt - Buut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Buut with the counter takedown but Buktot avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Buktot as Buut shoots in. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buut is fending him off so far but Buktot persists. Nope, Buut circles away and we're back to standing. Buut thinks about the counter body kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Buut looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Buut trying to control from half guard but Buktot is working away. Buktot won't allow Buut to pass to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut controlling the pace. Buktot wants to improve his position but Buut is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buktot keeps working. Buktot blocking the ground and pound attempt from Buut. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Buut seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Buktot is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Buktot lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot is thwarting Buut's attempts to control the position. Buut controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buut trying to hold on to Buktot's head to control him but Buktot postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buut misses with a takedown and Buktot counters with a nice body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Buktot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. A bone on bone clash there as Buut blocks the leg kick.
Buut shapes to counter with a head kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Buut. Buktot is looking to regain half guard here but Buut keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot is letting Buut control him for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot tries to get back to half guard but can't. Buktot struggling a bit here. Buut is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Buut misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buktot struggling a bit here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buut drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Buut controlling the position from side mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buut trying to control the action but Buktot is working from the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot is trying to control Buut's posture but Buut avoids it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Buut unleashes a big counter combination but Buktot bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
