The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonzela Franco shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dude but Dude pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dude shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bonzela Franco is trying to defend but Dude finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dude is looking for a kimura here.
Dude is looking to advance position but Bonzela Franco won't allow it.
Bonzela Franco wants to get back to full guard but Dude has passed into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bonzela Franco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dude wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dude can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bonzela Franco is looking to escape.
Bonzela Franco stops Dude from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Bonzela Franco is trying desperately to improve position.
Dude looking to take Bonzela Franco's back but Bonzela Franco rolls and after a scramble, Bonzela Franco ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Bonzela Franco to escape a tricky position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dude seems keen to control Bonzela Franco's posture.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dude is on top in guard.
Dude drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bonzela Franco dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonzela Franco won't allow Dude to sweep him here.

Dude manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bonzela Franco manages to get himself to full guard.
Bonzela Franco can't keep his opponent in guard - Dude advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bonzela Franco is refusing to be controlled, as Dude sits in half guard.
Dude is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bonzela Franco is just riding it out for now. Dude eventually gives up the hold.

Dude is looking to take a break and control but Bonzela Franco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bonzela Franco wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dude uses his free foot to push down on Bonzela Franco's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bonzela Franco.
Dude is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Dude extends the arm and Bonzela Franco is forced to tap!
