Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vlad Kagan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zumva Keyd!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keyd throws a body punch but Kagan moves out of range.
Kagan moves in looking to clinch but Keyd pushes him off.
Keyd doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kagan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kagan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Kagan lands with a shot to the body.
Keyd takes a swing at Kagan's ribcage but misses.
Keyd looks to score with a jab to the body but Kagan is just out of range.
Kagan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Keyd lands a jab to Kagan's midsection.
Keyd ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kagan moves away.
Kagan slips a jab from Keyd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kagan fails with the takedown
and Keyd counters with a stiff right hand.
Keyd digs a good body shot into Kagan's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kagan thuds his right hand into Keyd's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kagan closes the distance but Keyd moves to the side
and Kagan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kagan goes for a double leg but Keyd avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Keyd continues to drive forward.
Kagan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Keyd's efforts to push away.
Keyd gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kagan.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vlad Kagan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keyd is trying to pull guard but Kagan has him pressed against the cage.
Kagan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Keyd pulls his leg out and moves away.
Zumva Keyd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kagan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Keyd.
Kagan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Keyd circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keyd throws a big shot that misses.
Keyd swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Keyd works Kagan's body with a nice hook.
Keyd misses with a hook. Kagan ducked under it nicely.
Keyd scores with a jab to the body.
Keyd misses with a looping left.
Kagan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Keyd sprawls well. Keyd wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kagan gets slowly back to his feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Keyd misses.
Keyd throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kagan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Keyd cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Vlad Kagan has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kagan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kagan is breathing heavily.
Kagan darts in trying to clinch
and Keyd counters with a straight right hand.
Kagan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Keyd as he jumps to the side.
Kagan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Keyd counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Keyd cracks Kagan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Keyd has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kagan to stand back up!
Kagan is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Keyd is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kagan flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kagan is out cold! Keyd holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
