Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Iurie Shchusev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sage Kopel!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shchusev pinned against the cage. Shchusev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kopel looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Shchusev thuds a left hand into Kopel's body.
Shchusev shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Shchusev was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Shchusev moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Check out the look on Shchusev's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kopel bucks up and tries to throw Shchusev off but instead Shchusev has got his back!

Shchusev connects with a couple of big shots that have Kopel covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Kopel! Shchusev fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
