Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sir Randy Elliot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sir Randy Elliott! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Darius Henderson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elliot shoots in for a double leg but Elliott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Elliott turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Elliot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Elliot looking to pass the guard. Elliot slips nicely into half guard. Elliott throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Elliot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Elliott does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elliott tries to roll over but Elliot keeps him under control. Elliot controlling the action here. Elliott wants to improve his position but Elliot is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elliot wants to take a breather but Elliott is having none of it. Elliott is trying to get back to full guard. Elliott pushes Elliot off looking to stand but Elliot dives back in and keeps control.
Elliot is thwarting Elliott's attempts to control the position. Elliot is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elliott is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Elliot seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Elliott taking some punishment here, with Elliot in his half guard. Elliot throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Elliot slows the pace down in half guard. Elliott avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Elliot. Elliot looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Elliot really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Elliott finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Elliott takes a kick to the side of the head. Elliot blocks a head kick by Elliott.
And that's the end of the fight! Sir Randy Elliot showed his dominance in that final round. I think Elliot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
