Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Pignon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tanjro Sam!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam connects with a looping right hand.
Pignon shoots in and drives through. Sam sprawls well.
Sam tries to counter with a clinch but Pignon shakes him off and moves away.

Sam wants to counter with a clinch but Pignon pushes him away.

Pignon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sam did well to prevent Pignon getting side control.
Pignon is keen to just control but Sam is a slippery customer.
Sam is pressing down on Pignon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sam takes the fight into the clinch.
Pignon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sam walks away with a smile on his face. Pignon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sam shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pignon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tom Pignon will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Sam clinches up against the cage.

Sam has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pignon regains guard immediately.
Pignon is trying to control the position but Sam postures up.

Pignon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sam is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pignon.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pignon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sam is working away from the top position though.

Tom Pignon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tanjro Sam.
Sam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sam tries to land a front kick but Pignon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sam pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pignon back to the cage. Sam follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tanjro Sam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pignon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
