Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23934 p4p, 6460 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 70 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 63 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter B keeps the fight on the outside. Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Fighter A misses with a body kick. Fighter A drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fighter B is looking to regain half guard here but Fighter A keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B regains half guard, as Fighter A was trying to land strikes. Fighter B trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Fighter A manages to pass to mount!
Fighter B is trying to stand up. Fighter B tries to hold on but Fighter A pushes him away. Fighter B is desperately trying to improve his position but Fighter A has a good base and remains in mount. Fighter B tries to lock up and control but Fighter A gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A unloading with bombs! Fighter B is desperately trying to improve his position but Fighter A has a good base and remains in mount. Fighter A dominating with strikes here. Fighter B is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fighter B is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Fighter A is staying active. Fighter B is desperately trying to improve his position but Fighter A has a good base and remains in mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fighter B can do anything to dispel that myth. Fighter B prevents any damage by holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B tries to hold on but Fighter A pushes him away. Fighter A lands a big shot there that rocks Fighter B but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fighter A putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A is having none of it. Fighter A thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Fighter A thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A is having none of it. Fighter A is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fighter B can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fighter A connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fighter A avoids the attempt from Fighter B to control. Fighter A landing strikes, looking to finish! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Fighter A closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fighter A lands in his opponent's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter B holds on and takes a little breather. Fighter A with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A being controlled here momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B keeping moving, preventing Fighter A from controlling successfully. Fighter B is pulling down on Fighter A's head. It's preventing any offense from Fighter A, at least for the moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Fighter B keeping moving, preventing Fighter A from controlling successfully.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fighter A closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fighter A throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter B struggling a bit here. Fighter A misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A working the body and head with strikes. Fighter A tries to score with some ground and pound. Fighter B controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Fighter A throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Fighter B works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fighter B tries to get to full guard but Fighter A has control of the leg. Fighter B keeping hold of Fighter A's head, controlling as best he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fighter A throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Fighter B to regain full guard. Fighter A scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Fighter A loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fighter A accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fighter A is defended easily by Fighter B. Fighter A will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Fighter A tries to close the distance and clinch but Fighter B swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A shoots in and drives through. Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B with the counter takedown but Fighter A avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter A misses with a takedown attempt and Fighter B counters with a left and a right that stings Fighter A. Fighter A tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fighter B sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter A somewhat. Fighter B is trying to counter with his kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fighter B swivels and escapes. Fighter B flicks out a counter leg kick but Fighter A steps away. Fighter B displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fighter A. Fighter B appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Fighter B closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B controlling the position from side mount. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! You can see the frustration on Fighter A's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fighter B decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fighter A shoots for a takedown but Fighter B saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. A momentary lapse in concentration from Fighter A enables Fighter B to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fighter A manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fighter B trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fighter B throwing strikes but missing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fighter A has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
