Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sikke Vonnegut (ranked 2383 p4p, 2530 weight class) and Rodrigo Ferriera (ranked 207 p4p, 215 weight class). Rodrigo Ferriera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferriera throws a hook to the side of Vonnegut's head but Vonnegut sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good shot there by Vonnegut.
Ferriera tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vonnegut cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vonnegut misses with a hook.
Ferriera gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Vonnegut throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ferriera sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vonnegut pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ferriera tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Vonnegut displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ferriera.
Vonnegut really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vonnegut fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferriera manages to avoid it.
Ferriera avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Ferriera shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vonnegut napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ferriera wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vonnegut, who protects the arm well.

Ferriera is looking to take a break and control but Vonnegut is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vonnegut is looking to reverse the position.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Ferriera tries for a kimura but Vonnegut is defending well.

Vonnegut tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ferriera presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Ferriera looking to secure an arm triangle but Vonnegut defends it well.
Vonnegut wants to control but Ferriera is having none of it.
Vonnegut looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Ferriera sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Ferriera tries to control but Vonnegut wriggling away.
Vonnegut on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vonnegut tries to get out of the position.

Ferriera throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Vonnegut has his hands clasped together but Ferriera breaks the hold and Vonnegut is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ferriera!
