The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sassaki drops back looking for a leg! Leme is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Leme manages to kick Sassaki off! Sassaki jumps back into Leme's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sassaki moves into range and clinches up with Leme.

Leme throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sassaki blocks it with crossed arms.
Leme is pressed up against the cage. Sassaki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leme down to the mat. Leme avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Leme closes the distance but Sassaki moves to the side

and Sassaki counters with a single leg into guard. Leme didn't expect that.
Sassaki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
