Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tren Bolen (ranked 2437 p4p, 2763 weight class) and Sonne Suavaki (ranked 268 p4p, 299 weight class). Sonne Suavaki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Bolen.
Suavaki takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Sonne Suavaki has been cut.
Bolen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Suavaki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bolen misses with an elbow strike.
Bolen is stalling here.
Bolen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A frustrated look appears on Suavaki's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Suavaki's coach down at PhoQus Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Suavaki's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bolen throws a chopping leg kick but Suavaki manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Some bone on bone action there as Suavaki checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Suavaki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bolen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Suavaki takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Suavaki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suavaki throws a right hand that Bolen ducks under and follows up with a left that Bolen also avoids with ease.
A little feinted left hand from Bolen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tren Bolen dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sonne Suavaki's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Suavaki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bolen.

Bolen tries to counter by clinching up but Suavaki breaks away and moves out of range.
Bolen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Suavaki swivels and escapes.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Suavaki has eaten all the pies!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sonne Suavaki's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
