Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ding Ding Dong (ranked 6032 p4p, 3844 weight class) and Fran Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ding Dong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ding Dong looks for a takedown but Fernandez sprawls well.
Fernandez is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Fernandez darts in and clinches Ding Dong up against the cage.
Fernandez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ding Dong after a bit of a struggle.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fernandez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fernandez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ding Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fernandez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fernandez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ding Dong is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ding Dong has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fernandez is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ding Dong rolls with it to try and escape but Fernandez cranks on the arm and Ding Dong is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
