Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Toe Jam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Mesquita!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mesquita uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jam.
Jam lands a body shot.
Mesquita takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mesquita looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Mesquita shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jam pinned against the cage. Jam gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jam is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mesquita.
Mesquita displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jam throws out the jab.
Jam has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ubergym in the buildup to the fight.
Mesquita tries to clinch up but Jam circles away and keeps his distance.
Mesquita tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jam defends well and Mesquita ends up having to push Jam into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jam waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mesquita.
Jam connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mesquita. Mesquita circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jam throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mesquita sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mesquita will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Toe Jam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Mesquita.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jam bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mesquita's head.
Mesquita is rocked!
Jam ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Mesquita's jaw. Mesquita's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Jam does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Toe Jam!
