Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Auric Gallahad (ranked 3043 p4p, 2314 weight class) and Jose Altuve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallahad kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Go to War. Auric Gallahad has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Altuve throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gallahad was covering up waiting for the punch and Altuve finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gallahad working for a triangle but Altuve defends it easily.
Gallahad looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gallahad has his foot on Altuve's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Altuve works his way back into a safe position though.
Gallahad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Altuve can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gallahad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Altuve tries to get to full guard but Gallahad has control of the leg.
Gallahad is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Altuve wants to get back to full guard.
Gallahad is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Altuve doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gallahad.
Altuve should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Altuve regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gallahad passes Altuve's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Altuve tries to roll over but Gallahad keeps him under control.

Gallahad is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Altuve is just riding it out for now. Gallahad eventually gives up the hold.
Gallahad works his way into side control.
Gallahad in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Gallahad tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Gallahad has hold of Altuve's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Altuve tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gallahad cranks the arm and Altuve screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Altuve, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
