The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Josh West.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Laitila wants to clinch but Kincaid slips to the side

and Kincaid counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee asks Kincaid politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kincaid prefers to stall for the moment though.
Laitila felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've been hearing good reports from Kincaid's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Kincaid's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kincaid is not going to allow Laitila to sit and survive in this position.
Kincaid tries to get the hooks in deep but Laitila pushed the leg off.
Kincaid has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Laitila's body.

Laitila is trying to defend against the choke here but Kincaid has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Kincaid Tightens the hold and Laitila taps out furiously! Kincaid displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
