Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Wylie (ranked 3005 p4p, 4822 weight class) and Inya Romergo (ranked 387 p4p, 523 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Wylie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Inya Romergo!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romergo moves in looking to clinch but Wylie pushes him off.
Wylie lands with an overhand left.
Romergo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Romergo drives through and clinches with Wylie against the cage.

Romergo scores with a nice hook to the head.

Wylie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romergo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Wylie throws a head punch that misses.
Romergo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wylie's elbow.
Romergo tries to break free but Wylie pushes him back against the cage.
Romergo misses with some punches.
Romergo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Romergo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wylie blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Wylie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Romergo is trying to push Wylie away but Wylie has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Wylie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Romergo walks away with a smile on his face. Wylie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A big right from Wylie misses.
Romergo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Romergo misses with a double jab.
Wylie lands with a straight right. Romergo didn't see that one coming.
A combination from Romergo does no damage.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Wylie looks to score with a jab to the body but Romergo is just out of range.
Romergo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Romergo misses with a wild combination.
Romergo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wylie.
Romergo closes the distance and clinches.
Romergo is trying to break free.
Wylie working aggressively here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Romergo misses with the head strike.
Romergo can't break the clinch.
Wylie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Romergo uses from the top position.
Wylie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Romergo's guard.
Romergo keeping moving, preventing Wylie from controlling successfully.
Romergo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wylie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wylie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Romergo's guard.
Wylie passes to side control.
Romergo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wylie asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Romergo is not content to let Wylie control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Wylie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Romergo keeps working.
Wylie has hold of Romergo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Romergo seems comfortable defending it but Wylie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Romergo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Romergo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wylie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sam Wylie!
