Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Lahey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Venicius Da Cunha!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Cunha throws a lazy body kick
letting Lahey counter with a right hand.
Lahey connects with a looping right hand.
Da Cunha has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Da Cunha there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lahey lands a left and a right that send Da Cunha crashing to the mat, dazed. Lahey thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Da Cunha is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A head kick by Lahey - that's a beauty! Da Cunha is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Lahey can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Randy Lahey!
