Fire comes to the cage accompanied by Powerman 5000 - When Worlds Collide. Aidan Fire is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aidan Fire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Young Blood!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Blood.
You can see the frustration on Fire's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Blood trying to control the action but Fire is working from the bottom.
Fire tries to buck Blood off but Blood is having none of it.
The referee asks Blood politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Blood prefers to stall for the moment though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fire doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Blood decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fire's guard.
Blood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Blood passes into half guard.

Blood looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Blood seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fire does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fire is controlling Blood's trapped leg to prevent Blood from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fire is looking for a sweep. Blood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Blood takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Fire is looking for a sweep. Blood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fire is trying to maintain the position but Blood is very close to passing his half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blood accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fire is looking to stand up but Blood isn't so interested in that idea.
Blood trying to control but Fire is working from the bottom.
Blood is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Fire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Blood tries to free his leg and advance position but Fire is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Young Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Blood drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fire gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Aidan Fire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Young Blood.

Blood breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blood takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fire closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fire lands in his opponent's guard.
Fire trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Fire advances to half guard.
Fire is keen to just control but Blood is a slippery customer.

Fire is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Blood manages to get to full guard.

Blood is working an open guard so Fire takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Blood throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Blood walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Fire just misses with a punch to the body.
Aidan Fire is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fire shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Blood counters with a big head kick but Fire shrugs it off.
Blood throws a sloppy head kick and Fire moves out of range easily.
Donk. Fire catches Blood right on the button with a cross.
Fire fails with the takedown

and Blood counters with a single leg into guard. Fire didn't expect that.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blood stopping the sweep attempt from Fire.
Fire is looking to sweep but instead, Blood has passed into half guard.
Fire is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Blood is thwarting Fire's attempts to control the position.
Blood passes to side control.
Aidan Fire has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fire is pushing Blood's head away, looking to escape. Blood manages to hold on to the position though.
Blood staying calm.
Blood's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Blood scores with punches from side control.
Young Blood is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fire is not content to let Blood control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Young Blood.
I've got Blood winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
