Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malus Traeger (ranked 3301 p4p, 5371 weight class) and Dennis Moody (ranked 375 p4p, 483 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Malus Traeger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dennis Moody!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moody wants to clinch up but Traeger keeps it at a distance.
Moody is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Moody looks to clinch
so Traeger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Moody tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Traeger trying to control but Moody is working from the bottom.
Moody wants to stand but Traeger is controlling the position.
Traeger definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Traeger looking to pass the guard.
Traeger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moody wants to sweep but no luck.
Traeger postures up in Moody's guard and throws a big left but Moody blocks it.

Traeger pushes down on Moody's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Traeger seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Moody is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Traeger scores with a couple of nice shots.
Traeger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Traeger looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Moody is looking for a sweep. Traeger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Moody is staying active underneath Traeger, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Traeger landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Traeger lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Traeger takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Traeger trying to advance position but Moody counters by regaining guard.

Traeger distracts Moody with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Traeger with a nice head shot there.
Traeger trying to control but Moody is working from the bottom.
Traeger working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Traeger controls from within his opponent's guard.
Moody working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Traeger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Traeger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Moody not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Traeger lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Traeger stays in close to Moody's body and controls the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moody can do anything to dispel that myth.

Traeger pushes down on Moody's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Traeger working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Moody is rocked!
Traeger slips a nice elbow through Moody's hands, connecting with Moody's forehead.
Moody is still in real trouble! Can Traeger finish him?
Traeger scores with a big shot! Moody's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Moody! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malus Traeger!
After winning the bout, Malus Traeger thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
