Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Ricci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pereira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pereira has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ricci wants to hit a switch here but Pereira passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ricci there!

Ricci bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Pereira wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pereira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ricci is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pereira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ricci's back instead.
Pereira is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Pereira gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pereira gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pereira apologises and we restart here on the feet.
No joy there for Ricci, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pereira is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pereira is breathing heavily.

Pereira has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ricci to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pereira is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ricci pulls down on the head and he's put Pereira to sleep! This one is all over!
