Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DaMarcus Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar De la Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oscar De la Hoya has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with DaMarcus Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De la Hoya misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson throws a series of punches but De la Hoya moves out of range. Johnson misses the shot to the body. Johnson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
De la Hoya misses with a series of wild punches.
Oscar De la Hoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson throws a right and a left that De la Hoya avoids nicely. Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. De la Hoya misses with a shot to the body and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand! De la Hoya throws a wild combination but nothing lands. De la Hoya drops his shoulder and cracks Johnson with a huge uppercut! Johnson goes down! Can De la Hoya finish him?
Johnson is rocked! Johnson is trying to keep De la Hoya in close.
Oh Johnson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! De la Hoya won't allow Johnson to sweep him here. Johnson keeping full guard, as De la Hoya tries to pass. Johnson seems to have got his legs back now. Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. De la Hoya is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take De la Hoya's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throwing wild punches that miss their target. Johnson trying to control momentarily.
De la Hoya turns into Johnson and is now in his guard.
De la Hoya is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. De la Hoya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but De la Hoya is in a dominant position and won't allow it. De la Hoya controls from within his opponent's guard. Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.
Johnson thows a big elbow that misses. Johnson is looking to advance position but De la Hoya has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Johnson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. De la Hoya controlling his opponent. Johnson is working to get back to half guard.

De la Hoya moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. De la Hoya steps into range and cracks Johnson with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Johnson flops backwards and De la Hoya dives into his guard looking to finish!
Johnson keeping full guard, as De la Hoya tries to pass. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson being controlled here, momentarily. Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst De la Hoya is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.
Johnson is trying to control the action in half guard but De la Hoya is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. De la Hoya is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Johnson scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.
Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson tries to pass to full mount but De la Hoya defends it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if De la Hoya can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson prevents De la Hoya from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. De la Hoya defending well though. De la Hoya really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. De la Hoya scores with a punch to the head. A punch combination from De la Hoya misses. De la Hoya throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand. De la Hoya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. De la Hoya lands a jab to Johnson's midsection. De la Hoya throws an overhand right that drops Johnson like a sack of potatoes! De la Hoya dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oscar De la Hoya!
