Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juicy Gum (ranked 5125 p4p, 4534 weight class) and Tyrone James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gum might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the tiger. Juicy Gum has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juicy Gum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyrone James! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James closes the distance and clinches up with Gum, looking for a takedown. James pushes Gum against the cage but Gum circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James shoots in but Gum avoids the takedown attempt easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James. Juicy Gum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone James. Gum avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gum fires out a quick counter leg kick but James just manages to avoid it. Gum misses with a leg kick. James tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet. Gum shoots in and gets a takedown into James's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gum thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gum passes easily into side control. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gum working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gum is trying to ground and pound but James uses the momentary lack of control by Gum to regain half guard. James wants to control but Gum is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gum is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James is just riding it out for now. Gum eventually gives up the hold. James is trying to maintain the position but Gum is very close to passing his half guard. James tries to roll over but Gum keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. James trying to control from the bottom.
Gum wants to control but James is keeping him busy. James wants to improve his position but Gum is controlling well.
Gum throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gum looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. James on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gum escapes and gets back to his feet. Gum has been working on his balance at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by James. Gum drives through with a takedown into guard. James is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. James throws a punch but it's blocked by Gum. James manages to break the clinch.
Gum looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Gum persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing. Gum could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. James looks for a takedown but Gum sprawls well.

James tries to pull guard but Gum forces him back to his feet, against the cage. James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gum closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Gum pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James with the counter takedown but Gum avoids it easily. James fails to land the takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gum misses with a low kick as James jumps back. Gum shoots for a takedown but James saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Juicy Gum will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Gum closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Gum pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James tries to counter with a clinch but Gum shakes him off and moves away. Gum misses with a takedown and James counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gum sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat. Gum appears to be looking for a big counter. James checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. James is looking for the big counter here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by Gum. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gum stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet. Gum is looking to counter the offense by James and move into the clinch. Juicy Gum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone James.

James ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. James no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gum's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gum's corner is telling him to maintain position. James working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gum. James being controlled here, momentarily. Gum trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as James holds on and takes a little breather.

"I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily. James wants to counter with a clinch but Gum pushes him away. Juicy Gum is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James shoots in but no luck this time. James tries to close the distance and clinch but Gum swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gum stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet. James is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gum moves in looking to clinch but James pushes him off. Gum gets a takedown into half guard. Gum throwing shots but James is blocking nicely. Gum sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. James defending well though. James trying to hold on to Gum's head to control him but Gum postures up.
Juicy Gum overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gum thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed James's head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gum is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gum prevents James from improving his position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gum wants it to stay on the feet. Tyrone James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by Gum. Gum scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. James is trying to control but can't.

Gum closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into James's guard. Gum cracks James with a solid left hand. James wants to stand and escape but Gum is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gum defends it easily. Gum has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gum trying to control but James is working from the bottom. James looking to control.
Gum landing some decent shots from guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tyrone James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Juicy Gum is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gum lands a couple of elbows.
And that's the end of the fight! Juicy Gum showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gum, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Juicy Gum! Juicy Gum spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
