Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Master Petrov (ranked 1935 p4p, 2713 weight class) and Aqissiac Jacira (ranked 238 p4p, 312 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacira darts in trying to clinch
and Petrov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Petrov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jacira drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Petrov defends it well.
Petrov throws a leg kick which misses Jacira's front leg but catches the back leg as Jacira tries to avoid it.
Jacira avoids the body shot from Petrov .
Jacira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Petrov throws an off balance right hand
enabling Jacira to counter with a crisp jab.
Jacira shoots in looking for a takedown but Petrov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jacira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Petrov appears to be looking for a big counter.
Master Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacira fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Petrov avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrov throws a jab but it's blocked by Jacira.
Jacira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jacira shoots in for a takedown but Petrov shows good takedown defense.

Master Petrov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jacira gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Petrov pushes Jacira back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Jacira escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice takedown defense from Petrov . No joy for Jacira on that attempt.

Jacira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jacira is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Petrov .

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jacira takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Petrov throws a monster overhand right that drops Jacira! Petrov follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
