Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ri Zaadha (ranked 2245 p4p, 3268 weight class) and Gideon Navarro (ranked 293 p4p, 411 weight class). Zaadha kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is HonestKey- When I Wake Up. Ri Zaadha has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 32 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Ri Zaadha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 26 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gideon Navarro!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navarro works the jab nicely.
A low kick lands for Zaadha.
Zaadha definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zaadha fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Navarro clobbers Zaadha with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gideon Navarro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Navarro throws a jab when Zaadha was well out of range.
Navarro throws a head kick that Zaadha semi-blocks.
Zaadha looks to land a combination but Navarro avoids it well.
Navarro connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Navarro missing with a left hand there. Zaadha was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Zaadha seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Navarro catches Zaadha with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zaadha misses with an attempted mid kick.
Navarro looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Navarro takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Zaadha misses with an uppercut. Navarro saw that one coming.
Navarro appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Zaadha takes a kick to the side of the head.
Zaadha on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Zaadha is rocked!
Zaadha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oh Zaadha is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zaadha lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Navarro has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Navarro and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Zaadha slips a jab from Navarro.
Zaadha seems to have got his legs back now.
BOOM! Navarro lands a beautiful left hook that drops Zaadha. Zaadha tries to recover but Navarro is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Zaadha lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gideon Navarro!
Gideon Navarro decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
