This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 18 losses; Joe Dirt! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Trace Mack! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Dirt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dirt pulls guard effortlessly. Mack trying to control the position from guard on top but Dirt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mack won't allow Dirt to sweep him here. Mack postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dirt wants to sweep but no luck. Dirt is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Blacksmith MMA Gym 🇺🇲 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. It looks like Mack might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Mack wants to control from the top but Dirt keeps moving. Mack looking to pass the guard. Dirt is looking for a triangle here but Mack uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Dirt is not content to let Mack control the position. Mack prevents Dirt from improving his position. Dirt is working hard here to advance position. Mack trying to control the action but Dirt is working from the bottom. Mack is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dirt is just riding it out for now. Mack eventually gives up the hold. Dirt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mack tries to free his leg and advance position but Dirt is retaining full guard. Mack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dirt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mack has managed to get both his arms back between Dirt's legs - danger averted. Mack thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mack drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Mack as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dirt screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Mack! Nice submission victory there!
