Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Saunders (ranked 4257 p4p, 4917 weight class) and MacBeth Bravo (ranked 168 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo has chosen Hair Of The Dog as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Saunders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, MacBeth Bravo! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bravo lands a jab-cross combination. Saunders forces Bravo back against the cage and clinches. Saunders jumps guard.
Bravo wants to stand but Saunders is controlling his posture from full guard. Saunders tries to land a sweep but no joy. Saunders has his hands on Bravo's head, controlling the position. Saunders bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bravo's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saunders drops back looking for a leg! Bravo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bravo manages to kick Saunders off! Saunders jumps back into Bravo's guard. Saunders controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saunders stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bravo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Saunders controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Saunders drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Saunders jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Saunders thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saunders passes Bravo's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Saunders is trying for a kimura here. Bravo looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Saunders wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sam Saunders! After the fight, Sam Saunders was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
