Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Fritz (ranked 1112 p4p, 1339 weight class) and Pultti Pyssy (ranked 141 p4p, 163 weight class). Matthew Fritz could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pultti Pyssy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Fritz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pultti Pyssy! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pyssy misses with a head kick.
Pyssy throws out a leg kick but Fritz moves out of range and Pyssy only half commits. Fritz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rollins Fitness in the buildup to the fight. A chopping leg kick lands by Fritz. Pyssy takes one to the side of the head.
Matthew Fritz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fritz lands with a right hand. Fritz scores with a hook to the body. Pyssy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Fritz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pyssy lands a really nice looking cross but Fritz seems unphased.

Pyssy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Pyssy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fritz moves away. Pyssy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Pyssy looks to land a body kick but Fritz moved away. Fritz seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. The fighters circling - Fritz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. It seemed like Pyssy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Pyssy avoids the body shot from Fritz.
A low kick from Fritz is predictable there and Pyssy counters with a nice uppercut. Fritz pushes Pyssy away with a front kick. A head kick misses from Pyssy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fritz lands a jab. Fritz moves forwards but Pyssy connects with a nice, crisp jab. Pyssy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fritz. Pyssy is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fritz rather than just go for the knockout. Fritz misses with a hook. Fritz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pyssy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fritz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pyssy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fritz. Pyssy appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Pyssy throws a sloppy body shot
and Fritz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pyssy's knee momentarily. Fritz misses the shot to the body. Fritz throws a big shot that misses. Fritz pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pyssy scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Pyssy needs to keep his hands up - Fritz had a free shot at his head there. Pyssy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Pyssy looks to throw the jab but Fritz is out of range. Pyssy throws a leg kick but Fritz sees it coming and moves out of range. Pyssy avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Pyssy throws a right and a left that Fritz avoids nicely. Pyssy connects with a body shot. Pyssy has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fritz stuffs the takedown attempt from Pyssy. Pyssy gets slowly back to his feet. Pyssy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Fritz chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Pyssy throws a body kick that misses. Fritz thumps Pyssy with a low kick. Pyssy throws a leg kick and Fritz counters with a straight right hand. Fritz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A jab from Pyssy misses. Pyssy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fritz on the side of the head. Pyssy shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Fritz avoids the body shot from Pyssy.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fritz is controlling Pyssy's posture. Fritz looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fritz throws an overhand right that lands on Pyssy's shoulder, as Pyssy tries to avoid the shot. Pyssy has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Fritz throws a head kick but Pyssy moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight! Matthew Fritz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fritz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
