Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jean Lafitte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fedor Osipov!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osipov closes the distance and pushes Lafitte back into the cage.
Lafitte breaks from the clinch.
Osipov's coach down at Shut Up & Train! {$1000} was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Osipov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Osipov has a takedown stuffed.

Lafitte keeps the fight on the outside.
Lafitte lands a head shot.
Lafitte pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lafitte scores with a hook to the body. Osipov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

The fighters circling - Lafitte throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lafitte swats away the attempt to clinch by Osipov.

Lafitte throws out a loose jab but Osipov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fedor Osipov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Osipov closes the distance and clinches up with Lafitte, looking for a takedown. Osipov pushes Lafitte against the cage but Lafitte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jean Lafitte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Osipov.

Lafitte is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Osipov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lafitte is just riding it out for now. Osipov eventually gives up the hold.
Osipov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Osipov wants to free his trapped foot but Lafitte is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Osipov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fedor Osipov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
