Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Xue Fang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Paul!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Fang. Paul does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fang throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Paul counters with a right hand to the body.
Fang misses with a body shot.
Paul blocks a jab.
Paul looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Fang on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Paul lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Fang lands a nice shot that snaps Paul's head back.
Paul throws a jab but it's blocked by Fang.
Fang swings widly with a right hand
and Paul counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Paul.
Fang closes the distance and pushes Paul back into the cage.
Paul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Paul counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Xue Fang has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fang lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Paul at a distance.

Fang lands with an uppercut that bounces Paul off the cage and back into range.

Paul connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fang. Fang circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Fang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Paul manages to avoid it.

Paul throws a big shot that misses.
Paul tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fang paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fang will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fang was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Paul cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Xue Fang's cut is getting worse.

Fang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paul.
Paul is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Fang with a body shot.

Fang appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Paul scores with a hook to the body. Fang takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Paul makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fang throws a lazy right hand but Paul sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fang is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Paul lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Xue Fang's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Paul has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Donk. Paul catches Fang right on the button with a cross.
Fang misses with a straight left.
Paul bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fang's head backwards.
Fang takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fang connects with a nice looking jab.
Fang misses with a body punch
and Paul counters with a nice uppercut.
Jeez, Xue Fang's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Fang swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fang uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Paul.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Paul dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Fang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Paul is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A quick step to the side and Fang tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paul just misses with a punch to the body.

and Paul counters with a stiff right hand.
Fang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paul moves away.
Paul doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Paul checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paul throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paul connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fang momentarily.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Xue Fang's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
