Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sigurd Ragnarsson (ranked 4931 p4p, 25590 weight class) and Yaroslav Borkechev (ranked 456 p4p, 509 weight class). Ragnarsson comes to the cage accompanied by Twilight of the Thunder God. Yaroslav Borkechev will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sigurd Ragnarsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yaroslav Borkechev! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borkechev moves into the clinch. Borkechev unloads a knee to the mid-section. Borkechev breaks the clinch.
Borkechev has taken the fight to the clinch.
Borkechev gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Borkechev trying to control but Ragnarsson is working from the bottom. Ragnarsson pulls Borkechev in close to prevent any damage. Ragnarsson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ragnarsson wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ragnarsson trying to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borkechev trying to control the position from guard on top but Ragnarsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragnarsson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ragnarsson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Borkechev is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Yaroslav Borkechev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Borkechev gets a takedown into half guard. Ragnarsson punching from the bottom.
Borkechev frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ragnarsson tries to hold on but Borkechev pushes him away. Borkechev tries to control but Ragnarsson wriggling away. Borkechev is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Borkechev lands with some strikes. Ragnarsson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ragnarsson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Borkechev. Ragnarsson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Ragnarsson is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnarsson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Borkechev is trying to control. Ragnarsson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ragnarsson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson has control of Borkechev's left arm, preventing Borkechev from doing any damage. Ragnarsson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ragnarsson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Ragnarsson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Borkechev is one step ahead there. Borkechev trying to control but Ragnarsson is working from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ragnarsson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Borkechev's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ragnarsson landing some decent shots from guard. Ragnarsson controls from within his opponent's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yaroslav Borkechev dominated that round. That's time! Ragnarsson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ragnarsson misses with a hook. Excellent takedown into side control there by Borkechev. Borkechev trying to control the position but Ragnarsson is working away. Ragnarsson is looking to reverse the position. Ragnarsson prevents Borkechev from improving position. Ragnarsson throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borkechev throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ragnarsson struggling a bit here. Ragnarsson regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borkechev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ragnarsson has his hands clasped together around Borkechev's back. He's all about the action. Ragnarsson manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ragnarsson tries to strike from the bottom.
Borkechev trying to control but Ragnarsson is working from the bottom. Borkechev drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ragnarsson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ragnarsson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ragnarsson! Ragnarsson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Borkechev some visible discomfort.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnarsson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Yaroslav Borkechev has got the better of the ground game so far. Borkechev is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ragnarsson working the ground and pound. Borkechev taking punishment in the form of punches.

Borkechev is still in real trouble! Can Ragnarsson finish him? Ragnarsson cracks Borkechev with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Ragnarsson immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Borkechev is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Ragnarsson!
