Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 24709 p4p, 12371 weight class) and Justin Midget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Justin Midget has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 30 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Midget!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bitok looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Midget actively working from the bottom here.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Midget has eaten all the pies!

Midget looking for a kimura from the bottom but Bitok passes into side control!
Midget is looking for a sweep.
Bitok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bitok stands up.
Midget looks winded!

Bitok shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Midget manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Midget throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bitok escapes and throws Midget's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Midget is letting Bitok control him for a moment.
Bitok seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Midget for as long as he can get away with.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bitok creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Bitok slows the pace down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bitok continues to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Midget felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Midget wants to control but Bitok postures up.
Bitok just content to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Bitok drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Midget is trying to escape the position but Bitok is controlling the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kulata Bitok dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bitok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Midget has a hand on Bitok's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bitok takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Bitok tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bitok's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bitok is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Midget can do to turn this around?

Midget is desperately trying to improve his position but Bitok has a good base and remains in mount.
Bitok looking to control and managing it successfully.

Bitok has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bitok lands a couple of good shots and Midget has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
You can see the frustration on Midget's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Bitok is hanging on to Midget's back as he tries to escape.
Bitok just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Bitok lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Bitok has good solid back control here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Bitok changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Midget looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bitok is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Midget will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Midget is looking to regain half guard here but Bitok keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bitok happy to just control the position for now.
Midget takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Midget struggling a bit here.
You can see the frustration on Midget's face as Bitok controls the position.

Bitok is staying tight to Midget's torso, preventing him from escaping.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bitok shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bitok showed some decent athleticism there.
Bitok is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Bitok landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Bitok sitting and controlling from the half guard.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Bitok is stinking the place up with his stalling.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Bitok.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kulata Bitok is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Justin Midget has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bitok closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Midget quickly recovers to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kulata Bitok showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bitok has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
