The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abou looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Abou goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Smith takes a swing at Abou's ribcage but misses.
Smith misses with a double jab
and Abou counters with a leg kick.
Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abou is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Smith slips under a jab from Abou.
Smith scores with a shot to the body.
Abou fails in his attempt to clinch.

Smith throws a right and a left that Abou avoids nicely.
Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Smith drops Abou with a beautiful combination! Abou stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Smith is looking for the KO!

Abou takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Abou is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Abou Abou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abou looks winded!
Abou lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Abou seems to have recovered his senses.
Abou wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side
and Smith counters with a big right hand! Oh Abou is in trouble here! Smith follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
