Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Pervitin (ranked 2787 p4p, 4189 weight class) and Nikolai Ignatiev (ranked 355 p4p, 457 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mr Pervitin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolai Ignatiev! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Ignatiev throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ignatiev scores with a decent looking hook. Ignatiev takes one to the side of the head.
Pervitin throws a nice inside leg kick. Pervitin shoots and misses and Ignatiev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pervitin thinking. Ignatiev walks into a jab. Pervitin with the inside leg kick. Pervitin misses with an uppercut. Ignatiev saw that one coming. Pervitin throws a sloppy head kick and Ignatiev moves out of range easily. A countering left hand to the body from Ignatiev misses. Pervitin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ignatiev! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pervitin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pervitin tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pervitin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ignatiev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pervitin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pervitin throwing strikes but missing, from side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ignatiev can do anything to dispel that myth. Pervitin is looking to take a break and control but Ignatiev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pervitin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Ignatiev's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ignatiev tries to bench press Pervitin off him but Pervitin keeps the position. Pervitin landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ignatiev pushes Pervitin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pervitin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ignatiev tries to bench press Pervitin off him but Pervitin keeps the position. Pervitin wants to control but Ignatiev is keeping him busy. Pervitin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pervitin has hold of Ignatiev's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ignatiev tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pervitin cranks the arm and Ignatiev screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ignatiev, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mr Pervitin! Our winner, Mr Pervitin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
