And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mathias Vinter!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vinter on his heels. He'll look to pass Vinter's guard now, I'm sure.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinter wriggles free and stands up.
Petrov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Petrov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vinter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Check out the look on Petrov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Vinter takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Petrov lands a few punches from side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petrov scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vinter is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Petrov can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dmitriy Petrov!
