Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Montana scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Joey Cruz has been cut.
Cruz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Montana moves into the clinch.
Montana lands a body shot.
Cruz pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Cruz prevents a body shot from Montana.
Montana lands a nice uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Montana.
Cruz is breathing heavily.
Nice body punch from Montana.
Montana lands a nice uppercut.
Montana lands a hook that snaps the head of Cruz backwards.
Montana lands a body punch in the clinch.
Montana breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Montana throws a good cross that connects.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cruz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Montana scores with a punch to the head.
Montana cracks Cruz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cruz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Montana pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cruz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Montana!
