The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menzl stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Guerreiro.
Menzl looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Guerreiro feints and as Menzl raises his hands in defense, Guerreiro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Guerreiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Menzl swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Menzl has a closed guard, preventing Guerreiro from standing up.
Guerreiro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Menzl stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Guerreiro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Menzl circles away quickly and effectively.
