Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jed Hall (ranked 3746 p4p, 3000 weight class) and Leopold Shaw (ranked 413 p4p, 347 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jed Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leopold Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Hall there.
Shaw shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hall defends it nicely.
Hall stuffs the takedown.
Hall lands a slapping body shot.

Shaw gets the takedown into side control.
Shaw trying to control the position but Hall is working away.
Hall is looking to reverse the position.
Shaw creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hall sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Shaw postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hall tries to bench press Shaw off him but Shaw keeps the position.
Shaw throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Shaw looks up at the clock and then as Hall takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shaw smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hall is trying to control Shaw's posture but Shaw avoids it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shaw content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Shaw working the ground and pound.
Shaw creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Shaw misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Hall is trying to get back to half guard.
Hall can't do much from the bottom here.
Hall managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Shaw.

Hall dodges the ground and pound from Shaw.
Hall is looking to reverse the position.
Shaw throws a strike aimed at the side of Hall's head but Hall avoids it well.
Hall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shaw wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hall struggling a bit here.
Shaw looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall keeping his opponent close.
Hall sneaks back into half guard.
Shaw thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hall's head.
Hall is staying active underneath Shaw, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hall tests Shaw's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hall lands a glancing blow to the side of Shaw's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Shaw looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jed Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leopold Shaw.
Hall scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jed Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shaw gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Shaw closes the distance and clinches up with Hall, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes Hall against the cage but Hall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shaw tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hall swivels and escapes.
Hall cracks Shaw on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shaw falls backwards against the cage. Hall follows up with more strikes that drop Shaw to his knees. Hall keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shaw! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jed Hall!
