Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Makarov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kakuto is fending him off so far but Makarov persists. Nope, Kakuto circles away and we're back to standing. Kakuto gets caught flat footed, as Makarov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kakuto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Makarov passes Kakuto's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kakuto actively working from the bottom here. Kakuto is not content to let Makarov control the position. Kakuto is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Makarov has latched onto it... Big trouble!
