Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Aarona (ranked 4436 p4p, 5272 weight class) and Cody Garbrandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garbrandt has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jackson Aarona has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aarona pushes Garbrandt up against the cage in a clinch.
Garbrandt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Garbrandt tries to stall but Aarona uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Garbrandt prevents a body shot from Aarona.

Aarona jumps guard.
Aarona has Garbrandt pulled in close to control his posture.

Aarona working for a triangle but Garbrandt defends it easily.
Aarona thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garbrandt won't allow Aarona to get back to his feet.
Aarona pulls Garbrandt in close to prevent any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garbrandt would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Aarona is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A combination from Garbrandt does no damage.

Aarona drives through and clinches with Garbrandt against the cage.
Garbrandt is trying to pull guard but Aarona turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Garbrandt looks winded!

Aarona pulls guard successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Garbrandt is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Aarona has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Garbrandt is looking to defend but Aarona has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Garbrandt ! Aarona pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Garbrandt taps out and this one is all over!
