The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupsaka has his takedown stuffed
and Griggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've been hearing reports that Lupsaka has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Lupsaka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griggs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lupsaka somewhat.
Lupsaka tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Griggs defends well and Lupsaka ends up having to push Griggs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lupsaka is aggressively charging in as Griggs backs up avoiding any damage. Griggs tosses out a jab and Lupsaka runs right into it face first! Lupsaka is out cold! Griggs dropped down on all fours and is barking in Lupsaka's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
