PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Merchant (ranked 5241 p4p, 6262 weight class) and Canelo Cobra (ranked 254 p4p, 274 weight class). Canelo Cobra struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Canelo Cobra is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Merchant looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cobra looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Merchant throws a right and a left that both miss. Merchant wobbles Cobra with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Merchant dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Cobra to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Daniel Merchant!
