Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and gearge jone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, gearge jone! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. jone changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Diaz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. jone wants to get back to his feet but Diaz drags him back down. Diaz working away. jone seems a little lost for a moment, as Diaz dominates the positioning. Diaz moves into full mount! jone swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Diaz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as jone is looking to escape. Diaz wants to take his opponent's back but jone doesn't allow it. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. jone being controlled here, momentarily. Diaz postures up.
