The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Festa takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Michael Dawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dawson cracks Festa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dawson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Gianluca Festa has been cut.
That kick from Dawson tenderised Festa's leg. Festa is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dawson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Festa will feel that in the morning.
Festa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dawson swivels and escapes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Festa leaves his chin hanging out and Dawson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Festa crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
