Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice defenses there by Hernandez.
Hernandez looks for a takedown but Fighter sprawls well.
Hernandez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fighters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fighter looks for a takedown but Hernandez sprawls well.
Fighter throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fighter misses with a looping right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hernandez as he avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Hernandez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fighter closes the distance and clinches up with Hernandez, looking for a takedown. Fighter pushes Hernandez against the cage but Hernandez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hernandez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bum Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A head kick by Fighter misses
and Hernandez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fighter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hernandez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fighter tries to clinch but Hernandez is having none of it.
Hernandez cracks Fighter on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Fighter falls backwards against the cage. Hernandez follows up with more strikes that drop Fighter to his knees. Hernandez keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Fighter! This one is all over!

Mateo Hernandez was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
