Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abbott shoots in and bounces Lopez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Abbott trying to control the position from guard on top but Lopez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Abbott drops back looking for a leg! Lopez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lopez manages to kick Abbott off! Abbott jumps back into Lopez's guard.

Abbott tries to lock up and control but Lopez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lopez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Abbott working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lopez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lopez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lopez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Abbott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lopez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lopez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Abbott for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
