Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Lake (ranked 1449 p4p, 1050 weight class) and Albert Hofmann (ranked 190 p4p, 132 weight class). Hofmann comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Not Gona' (Bitch) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Albert Hofmann was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Lake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Albert Hofmann!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lake looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hofmann changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hofmann fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hofmann tries to throw a body punch but Lake avoids it by throwing Hofmann back against the cage.

A close round but Albert Hofmann will probably get the nod.

Lake lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lake fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hofmann looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A little feinted left hand from Lake on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cody Lake.
