The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hall has a takedown stuffed. Scott Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hall lands in his opponent's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Anderson (0) vs (2) Hall We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hall sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Anderson doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Hall paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Anderson - great work!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Richard Anderson! Richard Anderson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. |
