This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 33 wins and 25 losses; Julio Valeron Huhrera ! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Huhrera looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Steel Penn wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huhrera with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Huhrera wants to take a breather but Steel Penn is having none of it.

Steel Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Huhrera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Steel Penn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Huhrera 's guard. Huhrera wants to control but Steel Penn is having none of it.

Huhrera tries to get to full guard but Steel Penn has control of the leg. Huhrera has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel Penn is working away from the top position though. Score +2 for reaching mount: Steel Penn (12) vs (2) Huhrera Huhrera stops Steel Penn from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Steel Penn has control of Huhrera 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Huhrera regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Huhrera bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Steel Penn (12) vs (4) Huhrera My spies in Silverback MMA inform me that Huhrera has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Huhrera wants to control from the top but Steel Penn keeps moving. Huhrera not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Steel Penn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Huhrera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Huhrera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
