And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryder Morningstar!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morningstar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Soares keeps the fight on the outside.
Morningstar misses with a double jab
and Soares counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Soares tries to pull guard but Morningstar holds him up against the cage and eventually Soares drops back down to his feet.
Soares jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morningstar wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Soares's closed guard. He's half up but Soares has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Soares pivots and extends the arm, Morningstar falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Soares! Well done that man!
