The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Gascoigne darts in looking for a takedown but Pushkin gets double underhooks and turns Gascoigne into the cage.
Pushkin jumps guard but Gascoigne turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Gascoigne goes for a takedown attempt but Pushkin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pushkin fails with a takedown attempt.
Pushkin slaps away a takedown attempt from Gascoigne, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Gascoigne. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gascoigne is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pushkin lets go of the hold and Gascoigne can pop his arm back in it's socket.
