Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarkelson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tarkelson avoiding damage.
Tarkelson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mack thows a left - swing and a miss! A combination from Mack does no damage. Mack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tarkelson moves away. Mack swinging wilding here.
Mack misses with a hook. Tarkelson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mack.
It looks like Arvid Tarkelson has been cut. Tarkelson shoots in but Mack avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mack throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mack throws a shot from downtown. Tarkelson moves away and avoids it. Mack lands a nice hook to Tarkelson's body. Tarkelson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Tarkelson looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarkelson lands a head kick. Mack smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Mack drops Tarkelson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tarkelson looks back up at him and smiles so Mack waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tarkelson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mack missing with a left hand there. Tarkelson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mack moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Tarkelson goes down! Can Mack finish him!? Tarkelson is still in real trouble! Can Mack finish him? Mack scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mack postures up and lands a big shot to Tarkelson's brow. Tarkelson seems to have recovered his senses. Mack scoring with some ground and pound. Mack with a flurry of punches that miss. Mack throwing strikes but missing. Tarkelson has momentary wrist control but Mack slips an elbow through the middle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack chips away with some ground and pound. Mack thows a big elbow that misses. Mack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mack throwing strikes from guard but Tarkelson blocks nicely. Mack landing with the ground and pound. Mack is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Mack scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mack stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mack missing with a left hand there. Tarkelson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mack throws a series of punches but Tarkelson moves out of range.

Mack pushes Tarkelson against the cage but Tarkelson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The fighters circling - Mack throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A swing and a miss from Mack. Mack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tarkelson manages to avoid it. Tarkelson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mack fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tarkelson tries to clinch but Mack is having none of it. A slow jab from Mack misses its intended target. Tarkelson is looking to clinch but Mack is avoiding it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mack misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mack thows a body shot but no joy. Tarkelson doesn't manage to clinch there - Mack circles away.

Tarkelson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mack misses with a combination
and Tarkelson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Mack dominated that round. The cut man is working on Arvid Tarkelson's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tarkelson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mack takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Mack ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tarkelson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mack throws a big shot that misses. Mack looks for a takedown but Tarkelson sprawls well. Tarkelson tries to clinch there but Mack circles away.
A big right from Mack misses. Mack lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tarkelson tries a head kick but it misses.
Tarkelson is breathing heavily. Mack connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tarkelson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mack throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarkelson moves out of range as Mack strikes. Tarkelson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mack. Mack throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tarkelson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Tarkelson moves away from the strike by Mack. Mack uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tarkelson has time to react. Dave Mack is winning the standup battle so far. Mack looks for a takedown but Tarkelson sprawls well. Mack takes a kick to the side of the head. Tarkelson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mack to score with a decent uppercut. Mack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tarkelson counters by moving into the clinch. Tarkelson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mack tests Tarkelson's chin there with a solid looking shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tarkelson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Tarkelson duly obliges. and Tarkelson counters with a low kick, right behind Mack 's knee. Mack keeps the fight on the outside. Mack misses with a low kick as Tarkelson jumps back. Mack is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tarkelson can do to turn this around? Mack lands a nice hook to Tarkelson's body. Tarkelson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The fighters circling - Mack throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jab by Mack. Mack loads up on a big right hand but Tarkelson slips the punch. Mack misses with a combination

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Mack drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tarkelson pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Mack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mack misses with an uppercut. Tarkelson saw that one coming. Mack works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Mack is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Mack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tarkelson is looking to clinch but Mack is avoiding it.

Tarkelson shoots for a takedown but Mack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mack throws a right hand that Tarkelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Tarkelson also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Mack dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Arvid Tarkelson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mack misses with a straight left. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Mack. Tarkelson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tarkelson lands in his opponent's guard. Tarkelson wants to get up but he can't break Mack's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Tarkelson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tarkelson manages to get himself to full guard.
Mack trying to control but Tarkelson is working from the bottom. Mack keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tarkelson's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mack cracks Tarkelson with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tarkelson fails with the takedown and Mack counters with a beautiful punch that sends Tarkelson to the canvas! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mack landing with the ground and pound. Tarkelson is trying to control the position but Mack postures up. Mack connects with a couple of short punches. Mack with a nice head shot there. Mack wants to pass the guard but Tarkelson is keeping the position. Mack lands a couple of decent looking shots. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tarkelson can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack stands up over Tarkelson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mack cracks Tarkelson with a solid left hand. Mack working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mack trying to control but Tarkelson is working from the bottom. Mack content to stall in guard here. Mack postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mack stands and throws Tarkelson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mack works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Tarkelson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mack wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mack lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Mack scores with punches from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tarkelson is being controlled here. Mack scoring with punches and elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tarkelson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mack connects with a decent elbow. Mack connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tarkelson some visible discomfort.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Mack showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mack, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
